Florida to Subpoena Woods' Prescription Records Post-DUI
Florida prosecutors plan to subpoena Tiger Woods' prescription drug records later this month following his driving under the influence arrest on March 27, 2026. A court filing specifies the request targets records from Lewis Pharmacy for medications filled between January 1 and March 27, 2026, including details on types, dosages, instructions and warnings. The subpoena seeks evidence related to Woods' impairment during a crash in Jupiter Island.
Woods crashed his Range Rover in a two-vehicle collision, flipping it onto the driver's side. Body camera footage captured his field sobriety tests, which he performed seated due to injuries from multiple surgeries. Authorities noted his lethargic movements and signs of impairment despite breathalyzer results of triple zeros; Woods mentioned seven back surgeries, more than 20 leg operations, fused ankle and a limp, along with taking prescription medications.
This marks Woods' second DUI arrest, the first occurring in 2017. A 2021 car wreck caused severe leg injuries that sidelined the golfer for the year. He faces charges of driving under the influence, property damage, refusal to submit to testing and careless driving; Woods pleaded not guilty, waived arraignment and requested a jury trial.
Woods announced on Tuesday he would step away from golf to seek treatment, prioritizing his health and recovery. A court granted him permission on April 1 to travel abroad for inpatient treatment.
