Flau'jae Johnson, a senior guard for the LSU Tigers women's basketball team, committed to the program on November 15, 2021, and has remained with the Southeastern Conference school through her entire college career.[1][2]

The 6-foot-2 player from Savannah, Georgia, wears jersey number 4 and was the first McDonald's All-American recruit signed by coach Kim Mulkey at LSU.[1] Mulkey, who joined LSU in 2021 after winning three NCAA titles at Baylor (2005, 2012, 2019), led the Tigers to the 2023 national championship.[2]

LSU, a No. 2 seed in the 2026 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament Sacramento regional, faces 15th-seeded Jacksonville in the first round on Friday.[1] The single-elimination tournament determines the national champion, with the winner advancing to the second round.[3]

Johnson buried her pet bearded dragon, named Four after her jersey number, on the Baton Rouge campus. She has referenced bringing her other bearded dragon, Champ, along in spirit for the game.[1] Teammate Izzy Besselman described Johnson's work ethic as motivational for the locker room.[1]

Johnson, a recording artist signed to Roc Nation, has NIL partnerships including with the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league.[1] Mulkey praised Johnson on senior night for staying four years, graduating and taking a chance on the program early in her LSU tenure.[1]

"She took a chance on LSU when what did we have to sell?" Mulkey said. "The greatest story of all to me is she stayed four years at LSU and will graduate."[1]
