Faldo demands accountability from Woods, PGA Tour

Six-time major champion Nick Faldo criticized Tiger Woods and the PGA Tour for lacking accountability following Woods' DUI arrest in Florida. Faldo, who won three Masters and three Open Championships, called Woods' injuries self-inflicted and faulted the tour's supportive statement. He spoke to media on Friday after the Martin County Sheriff's Office released bodycam footage of the March 27, 2026, incident in Jupiter Island.

Woods faced charges related to the car crash and for refusing a urine sample. Deputies found two pills in his pants pocket and administered a field sobriety test before handcuffing him. Woods later pleaded not guilty and vowed to seek treatment.

Faldo highlighted Woods' history of pain from back and Achilles injuries, which he linked to prior incidents including a 2021 Los Angeles accident. The PGA Tour described Woods as a legend whose impact exceeds his on-course achievements and pledged full support for his health and well-being.

Faldo questioned the tour's response behind closed doors amid Woods receiving millions in payments while facing negative publicity. Woods pursued treatment outside the United States.
